Guest Room #1 – Red Light Skyscraper

“Guest Room” series is a weekly playlist coming from DJs, music collectives, and music passionate whom decides to share their music creatures with NFO Radio!
This week, we re-welcome Nowhere! What about Nowhere? His founder told us that “while reading Philip K Dick, he found a funny game that he did with the word nowhere: “No Where is Now Here” as teenager became my nickname. He always had in mind to start a community in order to share whatever envelops into art, music, cinema, gigs and all that goes around.

Red Light Skyscraper are an instrumental band based in Siena (Italy). Their sound goes from post-rock to… other “planets”! I remember when during the late 90s nobody was able to describe the wave of bands like Mogwai, GYBE and in multiple reviews, critics were labelling their sounds like “space rock”. There is something about Red Light Skyscraper that definitely has that vibe but it partially describes their sound and it’s not 100% accurate! Essentially, you need to listen and become completely pulled and absorbed into it!

After a lovely conversation with Carlo (guitarist, keyboard and narrative voices) I took the chance to ask him to prepare a playlist of his influences or just something that he would want to share with us or better .. WITH YOU!

Enjoy!
